About BillHike
BillHike tracks requests by US electric utilities to raise residential rates, and what regulators decide. It exists because these filings are public but hard to find, written in legal language, and usually reported only after the decision. We put the request, the status, the expected decision date and the docket link in one place, next to the rate you pay today.
Who runs it
BillHike is built and maintained by Sadeq Sayed Ahmad, an independent developer. He also runs Gold Prices Arabia, a gold price tracker for Arabic-speaking readers.
Independence
BillHike has no affiliation with any utility, energy supplier, regulator or lead-generation company. We take no commissions and do not send you to a supplier to sign up for anything. The site is funded by display ads once an ad network approves it, so the content does not depend on any company named on it.
Sources and corrections
Every page links its sources, and the methodology explains how the numbers are produced. If you find an error, a missing case or a docket that has moved, please contact us with the utility name and a link, and we will check and fix it.
