Evergy Kansas Central asked the Kansas Corporation Commission on Jan. 31, 2025 for a $196.4 million (8.62%) increase, which Evergy said would raise the average residential bill about $13.05, or 10.36%, a month; it cited nearly $1 billion of grid, reliability and technology investment since its 2023 case.
