Idaho Power asked the Idaho Public Utilities Commission on May 30, 2025 for $199.1 million in new annual revenue, a 13.09% overall increase that the company said meant a 17.35% rise in residential billed revenue (about $21.66 a month at 900 kWh). The company cited rapid customer growth, about $1 billion of 2025 infrastructure spending, battery storage, grid upgrades and wildfire-mitigation costs. A settlement filed October 24, 2025 cut the increase to about $110 million (7.48% overall, 9.74% for residential customers), and the commission approved it on December 30, 2025 in Order No. 36892. New rates took effect January 1, 2026, adding about $12.13 a month for a residential customer using 900 kWh, with the $15 monthly service charge unchanged.
