Ameren Missouri (Union Electric) asked the Missouri Public Service Commission in late June 2026 for about $343 million more a year, roughly a 10% rise, or about $13 a month for the average home, per St. Louis Public Radio. The company ties the request to storm hardening, grid upgrades and 400 megawatts of new generation, and asks for a 10.25% return on equity. The commission has until May 2027 to decide, with new rates targeted for June 1, 2027.
