Rate case PUD 2025-000075

  1. Jan 2026Filed with the commission as docket PUD 2025-000075

Public Service Company of Oklahoma filed a rate review with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission on Jan. 2, 2026, seeking a $299 million annual base-rate increase that PSO said would add about $25 a month, or 15%, to the bill of a residential customer using 1,100 kWh; it cited grid investment and growing demand. In June 2026 PSO, commission staff and other parties filed a non-unanimous partial settlement for a $73 million increase with a 9.375% return on equity, which the Attorney General says cuts the residential increase to about 1%, or $2.45 a month. Interim rates of about $11 a month for a typical residential customer took effect July 1, 2026, subject to refund. An administrative law judge's report was filed Aug. 21, 2026, and the commission had not set a decision date as of September 2026.

Who sets PSO's rates

PSO is investor-owned, so it can change its base rates only by filing a rate case with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. The commission holds hearings and takes public comment before it rules, and it usually approves less than the company asks for. Fuel and other pass-through charges can change between rate cases.
